Study Abroad
Study Abroad and Financial Aid - You CAN Afford to See the World

Before you rule out study abroad because of the cost, find out whether you may be eligible for aid. The amount of financial aid you get for your study abroad term depends on...

  • The amount of financial aid you qualify for at your home campus
  • The price tag of the study abroad program
  • Whether or not the program you are interested in is approved by your university and will advance you in your degree
  • Please note, tuition waivers, scholarships, and other forms of financial aid may or may not be transferrable to your study abroad experience
  • Even with financial aid, it is highly likely that your study abroad experience will cost you more "out of pocket" than a traditional semester or year at UMFK. Additional expenses include travel, insurance, visas, and spending money.
