There is a machine in the library near the Reference Desk that allows you to sign in just like you would on a campus computer. You can put money in the machine and add the amount you want to your account. Library and IT staff can also manually put money on your account if necessary.
There are three possible reasons:
Reason one: The machine has a time out feature which will take you back to the login screen. If you sign in then take time putting a lot of change into the machine, you may get logged out before you can transfer the funds to your account.
Reason two: You must transfer your money first before clicking the "Finish" button. If you click on "Finish" before clicking on "Transfer," all your money will come back out of the machine.
Reason three: Sometimes the machine itself is having issues. If this is the case, library or IT staff can put your money on your account manually.
Yes. You can go to the BengalPrint site located at https://bengalprint.umfk.edu. Once you get there, you will be prompted to log in with your campus computer account login and password. Duplex refers to printing on both sides of a paper.
Every person who has a computer account also has space on the server to save documents. When you log in you will see a number of "drives" such as the C drive, D drive, etc. The drive you have space on is call the H drive and will also have your name listed.
All your work you save on the C drive (in any folder) will disappear as soon as you shut the computer down. Never save your work on the C drive. You can always use the server space allotted to you called the H drive.
The printing cost for the GIS printer is $.30 per square foot in color or black and white. So, for example, a 30 x 40 inch poster would cost roughly $2.50.
Most of the time when you send a print job to the printer and nothing comes out, it may mean you don't have enough money on your account. Unfortunately, the system is unable to let you know this is the issue.
