2012-2013 UMFK Scholarship Application

To apply for UMFK scholarships, you must complete this form. Application must be received by the deadline date of March 1, 2012 for full consideration. If you have any questions regarding this application, please feel free to contact the UMFK Student Financial Aid Office at (207) 834-7605, or stop by the One Stop in Cyr Hall.

REQUIRED: You must complete a 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based scholarships. Complete your FAFSA online at: www.fafsa.gov after January 1, 2012. Applicants are encouraged to apply by February 1st. (Make sure to include UMFK's Federal Code 002041 on your FAFSA before submitting. This will provide UMFK with your FAFSA information electronically in about 2 weeks). For scholarship consideration, FAFSA information must be received at the time when scholarship applications are reviewed.

Eligible Scholarships
Based on the information provided, you may meet the eligibility requirements for one or more of the following UMFK scholarships:

    Please list all academic and non-academic activities, clubs, and organizations to which you belong/have belonged. List all leadership positions held and indicate whether or not you are still an active member.

    Please list jobs (including summer employment) you have held in the past two or three years. Include employer, position, and hours/week (during academic year). Also, indicate if you are planning to work while enrolled at UMFK.

    The personal essay is optional (except if you are applying for the Ludger and Bernice Michaud and Alumni Association scholarships). If you include an essay, please limit it to 250 to 500 words. You may use the essay to provide general information about yourself, educational goals and objectives, professional aspirations, and interests and to explain how receiving a scholarship would affect your life and your motivation for applying to UMFK.
