Fiddlers' Jamboree

Location: Fox Auditorium. The jamboree brings together talented musicians for an afternoon of impromptu performances. Rising stars, as well as seasoned veterans take their turn. The event is an opportunity for people to strut their stuff whether they play an instrument, sing, or dance.

Last year?s event drew more than 50 entertainers from Aroostook County, southern Maine, the St. John Valley, and western New Brunswick. You will be amazed by the talent that lives amongst us. The jamboree is very successful and attendance continues to grow with peoples? feet stomping and cameras rolling.

UMFK continues to preserve and foster an appreciation of the Acadian and Franco-American heritage and culture by hosting annual events, such as the ?Fiddlers? Jamboree? and the ?Sucrerie.?

Interested participants are encouraged to contact in advance of the jamboree, Susan Tardie at (207) 834-7557 or 1-888-879-8635. Deadline for sign-up to perform is Monday, February 13, 2012.
