Aroostook Aspirations InitiativeThe mission of the AAI/Gauvin County scholarship fund is to support the educational goals of the youth in our region and mobilize the future prosperity of Aroostook County. We realize that education is the great equalizer, and that given fair opportunity and access to postsecondary education, the future will be brighter for the young people of the county.

The vision of the initiators of the AAI/Gauvin County scholarship fund is to promote higher learning Aroostook County, in turn investing in the region's economic future through investment in our young people.

Maine Winter Sports Center

Maine Winter Sports CenterEach year, MWSC offers post-graduate programming for high school graduates who wish to improve their athletic and academic skills as they explore their potential in nordic sport. The MWSC PG Program accepts 3-4 athletes in both biathlon and cross-country. These athletes work directly with our Olympic Development Teams to improve their skills on snow. The MWSC PG Program has guided athletes to all-American performances at USSA Junior Nationals, NCAA Cross-Country Skiing Championships, USSA U23 World Championships, USBA World Junior Championships, the US Biathlon Team and to multiple international starts.
